A Snapshot of Your Day
You are the product strategy owner for reciprocating compressors. You have a vision for the compression business of the future. You structure and drive the analysis required to facilitate decisions on essential portfolio, go-to-market, and execution models for our entire reciprocating compressor product portfolio.
You report to the Head of Business Strategy for Compression, work closely with engineering, sales, execution and service teams, and are ideally located at one of our main Compression sites: Duisburg/Germany, Houston/Texas, Painted Post/New York, Naroda/India or Pune/India
How You’ll Make an Impact
- You lead strategic compression projects in complex environments to drive impactful decisions
- You monitor progress on key transformation initiatives and take corrective actions as needed
- You ensure Siemens Energy’s compression strategy is based on the latest data
- The consistent quality of your output and communications will build trust across the organization, enhancing your impact and creating organization awareness
- You drive strategic focus around building reference projects in energy transition
- You conduct detailed market and competitive analyses to gain insights for future planning and potential business prospects
- You develop the portfolio for new unit and services in addition to the go-to-market strategy and execution models for each region
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or an engineering-related field
- 10+ years of rotating equipment experience: preferably with 5 years’ reciprocating compressor product experience
- Strong leadership abilities with an inspiring personality and a natural drive for impact
- Exceptional communication skills and ability to work with a multi-national group on complex projects
- Initiative, drive and self-motivation
- Ability and willingness to travel globally, anticipated 10%

Transformation of Industry division is decarbonizing the industrial sector. Increasing electrification and efficiency are key and demand for green H2 and derivative fuels will rise. We enable decarbonization of the industrial sector and the transition to sustainable processes, building on a strong industrial customer base, a global network, diverse technologies, and integrated execution capabilities. This job is based in Painted Post, New York. Siemens Energy offers a variety of health and wellness benefits including paid time off and holiday pay. The base salary range for this position in Painted Post, New York is $151,000 - $280,000 and the annual incentive target is 25% of base salary.
Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, skills, certifications, and other business needs. Employees typically do not start at the top of the range, though compensation depends on each individual’s qualifications.
