A Snapshot of your Day:
The PLM Subject Matter Expert role involves managing and maintaining Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems, specifically PLM, Atlas, and Globus. The candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting workflows, changing ownerships, and ensuring proper alignment in PLM and Atlas. They will lead data cleansing initiatives, obsolete or supersede old parts, and conduct part and document research. Additionally, the role includes creating and maintaining filing structures for major parts projects, developing training materials, and leading training sessions. The candidate will also own team sites, act as the point of contact for legacy product lifecycle systems and participate in PLM Configuration Change Board (CCB) meetings. This position requires industry experience, strong problem-solving skills and excellent communication and documentation abilities.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Super user capabilities and troubleshooting in PLM.
- Business Database Administration (BDA) role and perhaps eventually a Database Administration (DBA) role.
- Manage and troubleshoot workflows and change ownerships in PLM.
- Conduct part and document research, including checking parts in PLM, Atlas, and Globus.
- Lead data cleansing initiatives and obsolete/supersede old parts.
- Support Change Management Process for AGT parts
- Create training materials and lead training sessions for PLM users.
- Maintain and create filing structures for major parts projects.
- Point of contact for legacy product lifecycle systems and participation in PLM Configuration Change Board (CCB) meetings.
- Process owner and creator for various processes, including those related to PLM 360.
What You Bring
- Minimum 10 years of experience in relevant fields.
- Ability to read and prepare design specifications, P&IDs, and assembly drawings
- Computer skills –SAP, Atlas, PLM, Windows, Word, Excel, Power Point. Team Center, Globus and Unigraphics knowledge a plus
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Flexibility to remote work, within USA
- Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
