Join our innovative R&D Drivetrain team as a Mechanical Design Engineer, where you will play a pivotal role in shaping the core of our turbines! Imagine being part of a dynamic and global team dedicated to developing flawless solutions across various projects. You will engage in the entire product lifecycle, from early concept stages to final validation, collaborating with diverse stakeholders to ensure the success of our mechanical components. Your expertise will drive the design of large cast components, gearbox assemblies, and innovative mechanical concepts, all while supporting production and validation campaigns.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- You will develop mechanical components, including large cast and forged structural components, suspension systems, and gearbox integration.
- Explore innovative mechanical concepts and conduct complex mechanical studies and designs.
- Clarify design and interface requirements by collaborating with relevant stakeholders.
- Utilize CAD design tools, specifically NX and Teamcenter, for advanced surface modeling and large assembly collision checks.
- Prepare technical documentation, including 2D drawings with Geometrical Product Specification (GPS), to convey precise design and manufacturing instructions.
What You Bring
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in product development and mechanical design.
- Proficiency in NX Siemens PLM and Teamcenter Siemens PLM.
- Strong knowledge of GPS Geometrical Product Specification is essential.
- Experience with structural calculations and the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC is a plus.
