A Snapshot of Your Day

We are seeking a Market Analyst to have daily interaction with internal teams both here in the US and with our colleagues in Germany. You will work closely with business development, sales, product management, and strategy teams to provide data-driven insights that guide market positioning, opportunity prioritization, and strategic decision-making. You will be responsible for analyzing market trends, competitive landscapes, and customer demand to support growth initiatives across your assigned regions and technologies. Further, you will lead reporting on these key initiatives.


How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Gathering and analyzing market intelligence to uncover demand trends, regulatory drivers, and early signals of risks and opportunities.
  • Developing market sizing, forecasts, and demand outlooks that guide strategic and commercial planning.
  • Preparing recurring and ad‑hoc analyses, dashboards, and internal reports that support decision‑making across the organization.
  • Maintaining standardized reporting templates, data sets, and competitive databases to ensure accuracy, consistency, and operational efficiency.
  • Benchmarking competitors through win/loss reviews and market comparisons to inform sales and business development strategies.
  • Collaborating with cross‑functional teams to support planning, forecasting, business reviews, and continuous improvement of reporting processes.


What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 1 or more years of experience in market analysis, business analysis, reporting, consulting, or a related role (internships and co‑op experience considered). Candidates with more experience can be considered for a higher level or vice-versa.
  • Experience or exposure to power transmission, grid technologies, energy infrastructure, utilities, industrial markets, or related sectors.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in market research, data analysis, forecasting, reporting, or developing fact‑based insights.
  • Ability to create or maintain reports, dashboards, or management presentations, paired with clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and motivation to learn and grow within a dynamic, collaborative, global team.

Travel, as needed (10–15% domestic and occasional international).

Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
