A Snapshot of Your Day

As Manufacturing Head at our new Siemens Energy Transformers Repair Center Factory at Charlotte, North Carolina, USA, you will play a pivotal role within the organization planning, developing, and advising the production process across all production areas! The ideal candidate will have a strong background in transformer manufacturing or servicing, with a consistent track record of leading manufacturing teams to achieve excellence in production efficiency, quality, and safety. You will lead employees according to the Company’s goals and current regulations and provide the vital resources. You will ensure and develop your team’s specialist knowledge and supply to the development of business processes.

The facility is planned to be built by early 2026 for production commencement. Consequently, the first part of the journey in this role in our Company will involve overseeing the construction of the factory and the implementation of new processes, as well as managing the development of a high-performance team and coordinating all aspects of the factory setup to prepare for production.

 


How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Leading the manufacturing team, including hiring, training, and developing team members to ensure a skilled and motivated workforce.
  • Proposing and implementing strategies and tactics that align with the reason and business unit’s strategy.
  • Define the whole manufacturing process, resources needed.
  • Define the step-by-step strategy during the rump up phase of the factory, including the main key roles in the manufacturing process and the needed training.
  • Researching and implementing innovation and/or digital tools to expedite the manufacturing process, ensuring high-quality products.
  • Being a strategic leader, working with multidisciplinary teams to achieve Key Performance Indicators.
  • Organizing and monitoring the entire production regarding production technology, factory capacity, production orders, process stability, delivery reliability, and budget compliance.
  • Coordinate with the R&D department to implement new manufacturing technologies and improve product design for manufacturability.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and regulatory requirements in the manufacturing process.
  • Planning budget and personnel capacities, developing employees to ensure required performance.
  • Driving productivity increase and process optimization, initiating activities for continuous improvement.
  • Ensuring compliance with all legal and internal rules and regulations relating to occupational health and safety, environmental protection, etc. to prevent harm to employees and the company.
  • Ensuring compliance with all quality-related specifications and goals, ensuring consistent processing of all errors that have occurred.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients and partners, understanding their needs and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.

 

 

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s in engineering and a preferred Master’s degree in engineering or management
  • 10+ years of professional experience in Manufacturing Industries with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Candidates with more experience can be considered for a higher level or vice-versa.
  • Experience in the Power Transformer sector or in the Electric and Metal Mechanical area required
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization and with external partners.
  • In-depth knowledge of quality management systems, lean manufacturing principles, and continuous improvement methodologies

    • Six Sigma Certification
    • Desing Tools
    • Process Analysis [Root Cause Analysis]
    • SAP & HANA System
  • If not local, the candidate must be willing to relocate to Charlotte-NC area.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
