A Snapshot of Your Day

Field Service International (FSI) supports and coordinates with Siemens regional entities serving the global SE 50hz and 60hz and Legacy Westinghouse markets as well as Nuclear sites around the world. The International District Service Manager will be responsible for project implementation from planning phases thru complete project execution for Nuclear sites in several different countries. This role will work closely with engineering and procurement teams to ensure projects are implemented in accordance with global and regional business strategies. This will be accomplished by analyzing the existing methods used in Planning and Executing Field Service Outages then initiating measures to improve processes and removing cost by standardizing, optimizing, and streamlining standard processes found across all areas of Field Service.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • A typical working day is characterized by independent and collaborative work. This includes independent structuring and prioritization of tasks and daily business.
  • Communication and coordination with different departments, e.g. local in-country entities, Mods/Ups Engineering, Service Engineering, Tool Facilities and all Product Lines. Develop sophisticated proposals, drawings, and installation schematics and provides continual guidance throughout task duration
  • The DSM demonstrates and applies a broad knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures in the commercial and technical service management of equipment. This resource will be responsible for leading all work scopes within the geographical area of assigned responsibility, including installation, initial testing, operation, maintenance, repair, fixing, solving, and modification of customer equipment and systems.
  • Develop and maintain the primary customer interface within the assigned district while leading district non-conformance costs and the identification of technical and commercial risks and opportunities.
  • Lead performance of on-site technical and operational support in the design, development, installation and maintenance of equipment and systems of a complex nature and develop budgets and business plans to support the current and future workload within the district.

What You Bring

  • BS in Engineering or related field, bilingual preferred, must be experienced with a minimal of 8+ years of experience in Power Generation Service including field service, preferably direct experience
  • Must be self sufficient, able to effectively communicate with region and customer and Proficient with Schedule Management tools (including comprehensive P6 scheduling experience).
  • Must be familiar with international travel and work environments, required to travel internationally 30%
  • Experience in maintenance of steam and gas turbines, generators, and associated equipment is preferred. Experience with Primavera and Microsoft Project scheduling software and experience working in SAP
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
