A Snapshot of Your Day 

As IT Manager (m/f/d) Cluster Europe of Switching Gears factory in Berlin, you will lead a skilled team of Digital Business Partners and drive core digital transformation, improving the factory's IT infrastructure, from network infrastructure to advanced data analytics. You'll also play a meaningful role in financial management, budgeting, forecasting, and engaging with stakeholders. An important aspect of your daily responsibilities involves hands-on involvement on the Digital initiatives, where you will be responsible for supervising operational technology for Smart Factory and recommending improvements.

How You’ll Make an Impact
  • Engagement with diverse stakeholders, including team members, clients, and other organizational units, to ensure clear and cohesive communication
  • Applying extensive knowledge of factory operations and technical aspects to develop and implement digital solutions that align with and improve the operations.
  • Leading and motivating the team, delegating tasks efficiently, and driving overall team efficiency as the head of the department.
  • Analyzing complex situations, identifying issues and potential resolutions, and making informed decisions to address challenges successfully.
  • Ensuring IT resiliency and availability by designing, implementing, and maintaining reliable and scalable systems/processes that support the factory operations and meet the business needs.
  • Acting as a consultant to the business for digital transformation, grooming use cases, exploring solutions, and providing technical guidance and best practices
  • You will be t he face of the digital organization in the cluster bridging between Business and Digital Organization. 
  • Managing global/local IT projects, acting as the owner of business-specific IT projects, overseeing the business-organizational aspects of an IT project, and being accountable for its lifecycle.
What You Bring   
  • Master’s degree or equivalent experience in information technology, computer science, software engineering or a comparable field of study
  • Experience in managing a team
  • Expertise in Digital Manufacturing or modernizing operational technology environment
  • Proven track record in managing and implementing Digital projects
  • Thorough comprehension of applications and IT infrastructure, complemented by knowledge of financial and cyber security regulations
  • Managing and specifying business information (cost calculation, budget, forecast, actuals, and consumption) for IT services and projects, including setting up cost transparency for the responsible IT portfolio and services in liaison with global portfolio and financial teams, IT service and local service owners, IT management, and the business administration team.
  • Proficient in both English and German
  • Experience in Grid Technology would be beneficial.
