A Snapshot of Your Day
As the IT Business Partner GT Factories (m/f/d) Rest of Europe, you will play a pivotal role as the primary liaison between business operations and Digital Core. You will lead a team of seasoned Digital Business Partners across Grid Technology plants in your designated region, country, or site. In this capacity, you will be responsible for understanding and addressing customer demands, ensuring stakeholders' confidence in the management of their needs, and fostering an environment conducive to their growth. Your role requires a profound understanding of Digital technology, coupled with exceptional communication skills in both the local language and English. Your expertise should encompass a thorough technical knowledge of the factory environment, particularly in Manufacturing Digital/OT and IoT. Your daily responsibilities will involve active engagement on the shop floor, utilizing OT technologies to optimize and enhance the operational technology environment within the factories.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Strong Communication Skills: Effectively communicate with a diverse range of stakeholders, including team members, Business (such as Country CEOs, CFOs, and Cluster/Plant Heads), and other organizational units
- Leadership Skills: Demonstrate exemplary leadership by motivating your team, delegating tasks efficiently, and ensuring the team's overall productivity
- Experience in OT Technology: Leverage your experience in OT Technology to lead plant-specific initiatives, adding significant value to the role
- Technical Knowledge of Factory Environment: Apply your understanding of factory operations and technical intricacies to design and implement Digital solutions that enhance operational efficiency
- Global Implementations: Oversee the effective project management and rollout of various global implementations in factories under your scope
- Problem-Solving Skills: Exhibit strong analytical abilities to identify issues, propose solutions, and execute appropriate actions decisively
- Process Engineering skills to map E2E processes and digitalizing the same for value creation
What You Bring
- Possession of a degree in information technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline
- Extensive experience as a Digital Business Partner or within an Operational Technology (OT) environment
- Proven track record in building, scaling, and leading distributed teams
- Demonstrated expertise in stakeholder management, particularly in engaging with senior leaders as primary stakeholders
- Significant experience in Digital project implementation and management, coupled with substantial leadership acumen
- In-depth understanding of infrastructure, applications and cyber security with mandatory hands-on technical expertise in at least one relevant area
- Proficiency in Financial Management, including service planning and budgeting
- Excellent communication skills in both English and German
- Practical experience with automation and visualization platforms is considered an asset
- Knowledge of Cyber Security within an OT environment, with experience leading ISO 27001 audits, is highly advantageous
About the Team
We take care of all Digital/OT matters of the product business from Grid Technology with employees in more than 35 plants worldwide. Your team is responsible for Digital/OT environment in our Transformers / Switchgear factories, which produce transformers and Industrial Switchgears for the whole world. You and your team will work closely with colleagues from the factory and Digital colleagues worldwide and will always form new teams to create efficient solutions.

At Siemens Energy we offer competitive compensation and additional benefits based on your performance, experience and qualification. Due to the Austrian legal regulations, we are obliged to state the minimum salary for this position. Please note that there is a clear willingness for a higher compensation considering your individual expectations, expertise and skills. The minimum salary for this position in the collective agreement for the electrical and electronics industry is in the amount of 79.204,72 € gross/year for a full-time position (38,5 h/week).
