This role is for an experienced Project Manager in the newly announced Power Transformers factory in Charlotte, NC. The candidate must have a solid understanding of basic Project Management principles to execute customer as well as capital projects according to safety, quality, cost and schedule requirements. How You’ll Make an Impact
- Project Oversight and Execution: Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Develop and maintain project management methodologies, tools, and templates.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and internal teams.
- Communicate project status, risks, and issues to senior management and stakeholders.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure project alignment and success.
- Risk Management and Problem Solving: identify and manage project risks, issues, and implement mitigation strategies to address project challenges.
- Resolve conflicts and escalate issues as necessary to ensure project success.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and best practices in project delivery.
- Continuously evaluate and improve project management processes and methodologies.
- Implement lessons learned and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 8+ years of Project Management experience, including management of complex, high-value projects, preferably related in power transformers, construction and business development projects.
- Ability to lead cradle-to-grave project management oversight involving engineering, procurement, manufacturing and shipment of power plant equipment.
- PMP or IPMA Certification is a plus.
- Excellent written, interpersonal and verbal communication skills in English with the ability to liaise effectively with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and customers.
- Self-motivated to produce high quality results within the time allocated, with limited supervision.
- Demonstrated ability to drive innovation, implement process improvements, and co-ordination with manufacturing, suppliers, and customer.
- Must be located in or willing to relocate to Charlotte, NC
- Candidates with more experience can be considered for a higher level or vice-versa.
- Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
