How You'll Make an Impact

  • The Gas Technician supports the delivery of insulating gas-related high voltage installation, commissioning, maintenance, decommissioning and operational activities across Siemens Energy projects in the UK.
  • The Gas Tech ensures all work is performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with internal standards, policies and permit scheme requirements in addition to customer safety rules & specifications.
  • The Gas Tech plays a key role in field execution and functional safety, contributing directly to Zero Harm, quality assurance, environmental safeguarding and on-time project delivery.
  • Establish, maintain and work according to internal work permit schemes or equivalent principal contractor/client safety rules. Gain and maintain authorisations and certification proving competency prior to undertaking gas work.
  • Contribute to investigations or corrective actions where gas-handling issues arise.
  • Display confidence and competence in controlling work on pressurised equipment including issuing Siemens Energy’s pressurised system permits to work and receiving permits whether Siemens Energy’s internal permits or permits under client safety rules.
