A Snapshot of Your Day

You will be joining one of the Siemens-Energy finance support teams based in Warwick and will be responsible for providing financial governance and business support to both local and global functions of Aero Gas Turbines (AGT). 


You will help to support and improve customer experience across the fleet whilst keeping focus on financial compliance. The placement will cover multiple financial aspects as well as providing you with the ability to learn and develop skills to further your career development.


How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Financial Reporting of the results of a global business. 
  • Ensuring accurate forecasting and timely transaction and recognition of all purchases and sales, including exposure to currency hedging. 
  • Exposure to numerous aspects/departments within a functioning business; Operations, Overhauls, Engineering, Project Management and Marketing and Sales. 
  • Challenging convention, questioning the ‘norm’ and encouraging the business to innovate 
  • Build your Continuous Improvement skills and confidence through Lean Six Sigma basics training and owning/implementing continuous improvement initiatives. 
  • Become an active member within a team of Entry Level Talent (Apprentices/Interns/Graduates) to participate in wider business projects through our culture hub. The scope of these projects will provide you with valuable team working experiences and opportunities to enhance presentation skills. 


What You Bring

  • You must be working towards a degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics with a genuine passion for business 
  • You think logically, enjoy collaborating, and take a creative approach to problem solving with innovative solutions 
  • You can work independently, safely and responsibly; take ownership of challenges and ideas and are looking to develop your ability to drive and lead change 
  • Effectively work as part of a diverse, multi-disciplined team 


About the Team 

The finance team collectively provide governance, reporting and guidance across a global business and portfolio working in an integrated manner with other functions to ensure the financially controlled execution of operations across both national and complex international delivery. 


Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonisation opportunities through service offerings, modernisation, and digitalisation of the fleet.
