Siemens Energy (SE) are recruiting a Field Service (FS) Mechanical Engineer to support our global Aeroderivative Gas Turbine (AGT) global portfolio.

The position is within our Global Service Operations (GSO) function, and is based in Budapest, Hungary as part of our AGT Product Competency Centre (PCC) Field Service Team.

A Snapshot of Your Day

As a part of the global AGT PCC Field Service Team you are responsible for providing installation and commissioning, maintenance, modifications, and upgrades and troubleshooting support to our global customer-base carry out Installation and Commissioning and preventative and corrective maintenance activities on offshore/onshore on Siemens Energy equipment, on global customer Power Generation and Oil & Gas assets.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Maintain the highest level of safety culture by endorsing company and customer EHS policies and programs.
  • Carry out Installation and Commissioning and preventative and corrective maintenance activities on Siemens Energy equipment, on global customer Power Generation and Oil & Gas assets.
  • Produce technical reports, based on work conducted and recommendations required to resolve customer issues, and/or improve system reliability and availability
  • Act as the primary customer interface representing SE on-site.

What You Bring 

  • Be qualified in at least one of the following: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Integrated Mechanical and Electrical Engineering.
  • Capable of troubleshooting and rectifying in-field problems on Siemens AGT products in a timely manner.
  • Understanding of Rotating Equipment operation, in both Gas Compression and Power Generation applications
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with the customer’s and Siemens Energy Health, Safety & Environmental policies, and procedures.
  • Strong communication and reporting skills in English is important, with an appreciation of cultural differences that comes with a global customer base.
  • Flexibility to work both onshore and offshore locations, often at short notice, in response to unscheduled breakdown events, in accordance with customer expectations.
  • Hold valid driver’s license and passport
  • The ability to adapt quickly to changing requirements.
  • A strong awareness and understanding of Seal gas system design and associated fault finding.
  • Carry out preventative and corrective maintenance tasks
  • Carry out Installation & Commissioning activities on Siemens AGT Power Generation and Oil & Gas Compression plants
  • Capable of Interpreting P&ID’s, general engineering drawings, and controls schematics
  • Have an excellent knowledge of on/off-shore HS&E requirements and be confident in reviewing, completing and compliance with internal Risk Assessment and Method Statements
  • High level of customer understanding and customer focus.
  • A flexible and innovative self-starter with the ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.

Our experienced Budapest Engineering Centre of Competence team - consisting of 120+ qualified engineers – provides services for Instrumentation & Control, electrical and mechanical engineering and now for sales supports.

Our competence and operational excellence are key drivers on our journey to the new era of energy.

The PCC Field Service team are responsible for providing installation and commissioning, maintenance, modifications, and upgrades and troubleshooting support to our global customer base.
