Join Siemens Energy as a full-time Manager leading the Fleet and COE section in the USA! In this dynamic role, you will guide an engineering team dedicated to enhancing the performance and service of both legacy equipment and innovative new apparatus. You will oversee the design, development, testing, and modification of technical solutions, tackle complex technical and commercial challenges while recommending process improvements to meet our customers’ needs. Your advanced problem-solving skills will be essential in resolving high-impact, cross-functional issues, and your critical thinking will shine in complex scenarios.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Lead and mentor a diverse team of 10-12 generator design engineers, fostering skill development in electromagnetic and thermal design.
- Collaborate with customers and global design teams to address intricate issues and enhance overall effectiveness.
- Review and approve technical documentation, ensuring alignment with Siemens quality standards.
- Provide technical support for sales, tendering, and engineering challenges, driving successful outcomes.
- Champion process improvements while effectively resolving manufacturing, installation, and operational issues.
What You Bring
- A master’s degree in electrical engineering from an accredited university, with 8-10 years of experience in engineering design or management. Candidates with more experience can be considered for a higher level.
- Proven leadership experience, including direct or indirect team management (e.g., project or team leadership).
- A strong initiative and the ability to work independently while being a collaborative team player.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, enabling effective interaction with diverse stakeholders.
- Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
About the Team
Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
