A Snapshot of your day

The position requires onsite technical support, solving, and commissioning of various electrical systems, including Omnivise AVR, Static Excitation Systems, and Start-up Frequency Converters. The engineer will work primarily in the Water Industry, Power Generation, and Oil & Gas sectors, ensuring optimal performance of products and services while collaborating with sales and engineering teams to enhance customer satisfaction. Responsibilities include identifying and resolving technical issues, providing customer training, and delivering exceptional service.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Provide technical support to customers by fixing and resolving issues with Siemens products and services.
  • Conduct on-site installations, maintenance, and repairs of Siemens equipment and systems.
  • Collaborate with sales and engineering teams to ensure the successful implementation of Siemens products and services.
  • Offer training and support to customers on the operation and maintenance of Siemens products and systems.
  • Find opportunities for product and service improvements based on customer feedback and field experience.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and service activities while ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field, with a minimum of 3+ years of hands-on experience in Siemens Energy electrical systems commissioning and fixing.
  • Excellent problem-solving and fixing skills, with proven experience in resolving sophisticated issues independently in power generation and auxiliary systems.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with customers, internal teams, and project leaders to ensure alignment with QA standards and health and safety requirements.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment, with a willingness to travel (75% of travel required).
  • Proficient in completing tasks efficiently within allocated budgets and timelines, while assisting sales and planning departments with tenders, quotations, and technical support during customer meetings.
  • Proficient in IEC61131 PLC coding standards, developing electrical programs from schematics, fixing control loops, and selecting and commissioning industrial instrumentation.

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
