Siemens Energy Gas Services are currently recruiting for a Digital Apprenticeship role at our offices in Newcastle. Our 2-year apprenticeship programme is a great alternative to university for ambitious students who are IT savvy and love working with numbers! You’ll gain professional qualifications and the reputation that comes with working for a prestigious engineering brand like Siemens Energy!

During this apprenticeship, you will follow a fully supported training programme with an external training provider. This will be delivered through remote classroom-based training, workplace assessment/ training and online learning.

How You’ll Make an Impact

You will be placed into various departments within the business working towards your NVQ. As a Siemens Energy Apprentice, you can expect to:

• Receive world class training and practical experience
• Work alongside employees of all levels
• Be motivated to complete multiple qualifications which sometimes require work in your own time
• Complete a multitude of placements

What You Bring

We are looking to recruit committed and hardworking people with a strong curiosity about all things IT and digital.

• You have completed (or are predicted to achieve) GCSE Grade 4 (C) or above (or equivalent) which must include Mathematics and English Language, and Level 2/3 qualification in IT or Mathematics (or equivalent).
• Level 3 Data Analyst or work experience placement in statistics or IT environment is a bonus!
• You think logically, willing to self-learn and research, and take a creative approach to problem solving
• You enjoy collaborating and finding innovative solutions
• You can work independently, safely and responsibly; are excited by challenges, and are strive to develop your ability to lead change

The Siemens Energy Gas Services business has an enviable engineering heritage which extends back 130 years. Today in Newcastle, we repair, service and upgrade Siemens Energy gas and steam turbines and generators as well as those of the non-original equipment manufacture. We're also responsible for servicing the global fleet of Parsons steam turbines and generators, including the supply of spares.
