A Snapshot of Your Day

As the Data Collector Team Leader within the Operational Excellence team at our Hull blade manufacturing facility, you will lead a team of Data Collectors operating across four shifts to deliver accurate production reporting, process assurance and manufacturing systems support. You will collaborate closely with production, quality, digitalisation and global stakeholders to ensure SAP DM and other shop floor applications effectively support manufacturing operations while driving continuous improvement, process governance and digital transformation initiatives.

How You'll Make an Impact:

  • Lead, coach and develop a high-performing Data Collector team, conducting regular one-to-ones, performance reviews and development planning.
  • Ensure effective production monitoring, process assurance and production data governance to support operational decision-making.
  • Drive adherence to manufacturing standards through process monitoring, compliance activities and audit support.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost through data analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Oversee the governance, administration and support of SAP DM and other manufacturing execution and digital systems.
  • Maintain and improve manufacturing routing data and digital workflows to support process standardisation and operational performance.
  • Develop technical capability across the team through coaching, training, competency management and succession planning.
  • Coordinate application testing, upgrades, maintenance and deployments with Global and local Digitalisation teams.
  • Manage system issues, defects, downtime and hardware concerns, ensuring appropriate escalation and communication.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to influence digital improvements and operational excellence initiatives.
  • Support the implementation of Industry 4.0 technologies, digital manufacturing solutions and smart factory developments.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, accountability and operational excellence across the manufacturing environment.

What You Bring:

  • Proven experience leading and developing high-performing teams within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), including SAP DM or similar shop floor systems.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production data management and process governance.
  • Knowledge of Integrated Management Systems (IMS) and ISO standards.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management and organisational skills.
  • Proven ability to develop technical capability through coaching, mentoring and competency development.
  • Strong IT proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications and intermediate-to-advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience using production metrics, KPIs and data-driven insights to deliver operational improvements.
  • Ability to prioritise competing demands, work effectively under pressure and lead teams through change.
