A Snapshot of Your Day (position overview)
You will be responsible for the implementation of cost-out projects within the casting & post-casting supply chains. Support of machining and casting processes for turbine blades at internal and external suppliers. As Cost Out Project Manager, you will be responsible for implementation and progress monitoring within the framework of the cost targets and budget to be agreed for implementation. The work as a supplier advisor includes planning and carrying out qualifications, coordinating design specifications and pursuing general requirements and quality goals. You will also be responsible for meeting deadlines, quality specifications, error management, checking development results and technical support. In addition to the development and qualification phase, supplier support also includes serial production.
You are the technical contact for suppliers and internal customers.
You will support the design department in design for manufacturing, evaluation of manufacturing results and processes, and suppliers in identifying potential for improvement.
How You’ll Make an Impact (responsibilities)
- Responsibility for implementing cost-out initiatives and managing product and process qualifications within an international team
- Active involvement in developing the technology roadmap and initiating feasibility studies and technology innovations for new design features
- Supervision of serial production and execution of process improvement projects with assigned suppliers
- Participation in supplier selection processes, preparation of requests for quotations, and technical evaluation of supplier proposals
What You Bring (requirements)
- Master's degree or equivalent experience in engineering, process engineering, design, or a comparable field
- Extensive knowledge of industrial manufacturing processes and professional experience in production technology, project management, and supplier management
- Experience in international environments and interfaces between R&D, engineering, manufacturing, and quality management, ideally with expertise in turbine hot gas parts, manufacturing, and quality management
- Proven commercial skills through successful project tracking and capability to resolve complex issues, including self-motivation, systematic planning, and evaluation of experiments
- Strong competencies in initiative, creativity, communication, teamwork, and customer orientation
- Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
