How You’ll Make an Impact
- Lead the Charge: Take the helm in on-site commissioning of MV and LV Auxiliary Supply Systems, including power transformers, DC chargers, battery systems, UPS systems, diesel generators, and control and protection systems. Your expertise will ensure these critical components operate seamlessly.
- Innovate with HVDC Technology: Commission HV switchgear, instrument transformers, and auxiliary power systems while testing secondary circuits for integration into HVDC systems and AC substation control and protection. Your work will be at the forefront of energy transmission technology.
- Ensure Reliability: Supervise the commissioning of AC control and protection systems, including protection relay testing, to guarantee the highest standards of safety and functionality.
- Collaborate and Create: Work closely with the engineering department to prepare test documentation and refine hardware drawings, ensuring every detail is technically sound.
- Drive Excellence: Prepare and implement tests with precision, evaluate results, and verify functionality to uphold our commitment to quality and safety.
- Be a Change Agent: Support the commissioning manager in quality, risk, and claim management, and actively participate in improvement initiatives like Lean, Reviews, and Lessons Learned to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
What You Bring
- Educational Foundation: A Bachelor’s degree or completed apprenticeship in electrical engineering or energy technology, complemented by relevant work experience that showcases your expertise.
- Hands-On Experience: Solid experience and knowledge in MV and HV substations, including primary components like MV and HV switchgear, instrument transformers, power transformers, and auxiliary power systems. Your practical skills will be essential in ensuring system reliability.
- Secondary Systems Expertise: A strong understanding of secondary systems in power substations, with a focus on protection, control, and interlocking. Your insights will help maintain the highest safety standards.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with test equipment such as Omicron and engineering tools like DIGSI. Knowledge of PLC systems (Simatic TDC/S7) is a plus, showcasing your versatility in the field.
- Adventurous Spirit: A willingness to embark on worldwide business trips and engage in long-term assignments at construction sites in Germany and abroad, including exciting opportunities on offshore platforms. Your adventurous nature will help drive our global projects forward!
