Siemens Energy is seeking an Area Sales Manager to drive sales growth and expand our market presence in the designated region. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, managing customer relationships, and identifying new business opportunities. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure customer satisfaction and align our offerings with market needs. Your ability to analyze market trends and competitor activities will be essential in achieving sales targets and contributing to the overall success of our business. How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Observe and analyze market trends, competitors, and customer behavior to determine the quality of market data and maintain an up-to-date sales database (Salesforce responsibility).
  • Communicate market demands to the team at headquarters, and develop marketing concepts, business plans, and strategies for market launches of relevant portfolios.
  • Update market data in the MI tool, prepare customer acquisition presentations, and define project setups and winning strategies to contribute to unit order intake and gross profit targets.
  • Ensure compliance with QA procedures, statutory regulations, EHS requirements, and Siemens Compliance and Business Conduct Guidelines while fostering a team-oriented environment.
  • Identify business opportunities and sales channels, understand potential customers’ order placement strategies, and prepare feasibility studies for Go/No Go decisions.
  • Manage bid/no bid documentation, prepare market strategies for Iraq, define project winning strategies, support technical clarifications during the bidding process, coordinate contract negotiations, and conduct win/loss analyses with the tendering management team.

What You Bring 

  • 3-7 years of experience as a Sales Manager in Iraq, with a well-established contact base, particularly within the Ministry of Electricity (MoE) and Ministry of Oil (MoO), as well as related business partners.
  • At least 3 years of experience in sales and business development of high voltage products, substations, and services, with a proven track record of consistently overachieving sales targets.
  • Preferred educational background includes an engineering degree, specifically in Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience in functional management of teams, demonstrating strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in stakeholder management, effectively engaging with various internal and external parties to drive business success.
  • Strong understanding of the energy sector in Iraq, with the ability to leverage relationships and market knowledge to enhance sales performance.
