Join our pioneering team as a Research Engineer in Mechanical Simulation for Pressure Vessels, where you will shape the future of high-voltage devices and help build tomorrow’s energy grid. In this role, you will develop new design and calculation methods, analyze advanced materials, and contribute to long-term technology strategies. Imagine combining your technical expertise with creativity to solve complex engineering challenges and witnessing your research drive real-world impact in energy technology. You will collaborate with diverse teams, explore innovative concepts, and play a key role in advancing sustainable energy solutions.

How You’ll Make an Impact 
  • Identify technological trends and uncover new innovation opportunities for pressure vessels.
  • Develop and analyze new concepts, design methods, and calculation approaches for pressure-bearing systems.
  • Perform theoretical and numerical calculations using FEM and structural mechanics tools.
  • Prepare foundational studies on materials, production technologies, and operating conditions.
  • Collaborate with product development, production technology, quality assurance, and external partners to drive results.
What You Bring
  • M.Sc., Diplom, or Bachelor’s degree in process engineering, mechatronics, mechanical engineering, or a related field, combined with extensive relevant professional experience.
  • Several years of experience working with pressure equipment, ideally with a manufacturer.
  • Proficiency in DIMy software and FEM calculations for pressure vessels using ANSYS Workbench or similar tools.
  • Strong knowledge of Directive 2014/68/EU and experience designing and calculating pressure equipment according to AD 2000, EN 13445, and ASME standards.
  • B2 level proficiency in English, enabling effective communication in an international environment.
  • Willingness to travel 10-20% of the time, primarily within Germany or the surrounding area.
