Sobre a função
Master Thesis: Simulations of leakages in CFD (Computational fluid dynamics) and model scenarios for suppression media release. I.e pressurized carbon dioxide.
A Snapshot of Your Day
You will be investigating the possibilities to run simulations of our auxiliary systems in the Gas Turbine Packages when a fire occurs. After investigating and receiving the input needed to run the simulations you will need to check if the current way of calculating and dimensioning the extinguishing system is correct or if there is room for improvement. To be able to validate the current design connected to extinguishing-standard statements and actual release test using CFD-simulations.
How You’ll Make an Impact
We expect to receive a full simulations report where different scenarios have been considered for one or two of our Gas Turbine packages. The different scenarios could be different leakage locations in the enclosure as well as different number of extinguishing media released. Validation of concentration of the extinguishing media in different areas of the enclosure.
What You Bring
We would need an engineer which has both the knowledge of CFD simulations and interest to learn. This Master thesis work would require a fair number of simulations and you will need to develop a deep understanding of our systems in order to reach a good foundation for the simulations.
About the Team
We are 8 persons in the Fire and gas team.
Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
We can offer you employment benefits such as: reduction of working hours, advance vacation, health care allowance and an eventual possibility to a flexible working place.
