You will be responsible for scouting & evaluating market changes and trends as well as driving key technology partnerships to make a real impact on tomorrow’s energy landscape. - As senior innovation & digital business professional you will play a central role in driving our Digital Grid’s vision of a software-defined autonomous power system of the future.
- You will lead partnerships with universities, startups as well as top tier technology companies in the US to accelerate GT DG’s innovation fields in power grid related research and development.
- You will be responsible for systematically scout, evaluate & seize US funding opportunities, support applications & reimbursements
- You will collaborate and co-create with internal and external stakeholders in the US with focus on customer value and user experience.
- You will support on trend scouting, searching, and evaluating the “white space innovation ideas” in regard to their future business potential and fit to GT DG’s technology roadmap.
- 5 or more years of relevant professional experience. *Candidates with more experience can be considered for a higher level or vice-versa
- A completed degree in electrical engineering, computer science or comparable education
- Proven track record in applying innovative technologies such as AI for power grids
- Long-term experience and success record in driving innovation and partnership management in the energy transmission and / or distribution industry in the US
- Passion for new technologies and innovations that bring customer value, understanding of the intersection of the energy industry and digital technologies
- Entrepreneur thinking and business driven, with a good intuition for trends that can be transitioned into valuable offerings
- Strong drive and understanding for digital technology as well as a customer centric mindset
- Willingness and ability to travel within the US, as required
