A Snapshot of Your Day
Join our dynamic team as a Machinist, where your day begins between 5:30 AM and 6:00 PM from Friday to Sunday. Once you clock in and don your safety gear, you’ll dive into reviewing your job assignments, ensuring all materials, tools, and traceability requirements are ready for action. Each day brings new challenges as you set up and operate CNC Horizontal milling machines, including the HB7 G&L, HB21 MAG-G&L, and HB22 PAMA. You’ll engage in various tasks such as performing turning, drilling, and milling operations, loading and unloading components, and interpreting blueprints or CAD files. Your expertise will shine as you measure and test finished products to ensure they meet our high-quality standards, all while maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • You will set up and operate CNC Horizontal milling machines, ensuring precision and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with team members to load and unload components, assisting with crane operations as needed.
  • Utilize your skills to read and interpret blueprints or CAD files, translating them into high-quality products.
  • Measure and test finished products, verifying their quality with tolerances up to .0002”.
  • Engage in cross-training on other CNC VBM’s to support the area workload and enhance your skill set.

What You Bring

  • You have a High School Diploma or GED, with technical training strongly preferred (Mechanical degree, Apprenticeship, Certificates).
  • A minimum of 3 years of horizontal CNC machining experience or a combination of education and experience is required.
  • You possess experience in adjusting machine feeds and speeds, changing cutting tools, and ensuring final products meet blueprint specifications.
  • A strong understanding of G-Code and M-Code programming languages is essential, with Siemens 840D controls knowledge preferred.
  • You are an analytical, mechanically minded individual with strong math and communication skills, and you pay close attention to detail.

Successful applicants must be able to pass standard hearing, vision, and pulmonary function tests or any other as required to perform the duties.

Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
