A Snapshot of Your Day
Join us as an R2R Accounting Trainee, where you will dive into the world of accounting with a focus on process ownership and collaboration. You will work closely with domain experts to clarify accounting issues, analyze errors, and support process improvements. Your day will involve managing daily General Ledger, Closing & Reporting tasks, ensuring timely and accurate recording in line with IFRS standards. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including regional accounting hubs and local business teams, while actively listening to their needs and taking ownership of decisions alongside the Senior Analyst. Share best practices and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Support month-end closing activities, leveraging your problem-solving skills and commitment to collaboration.
• Ensure compliance with audit controls and perform accounts reconciliation to maintain accuracy.
• Assist in implementing and documenting new processes and procedures to enhance efficiency.
• Maintain general housekeeping of General Ledger accounts and conduct intercompany reconciliations.
• Post accruals, provisions, and other relevant GL items to ensure accurate financial reporting.

What You Bring

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (completed or in progress).
• A basic understanding of financial statements and accounting principles.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in your work.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills to tackle complex issues.
• Basic Excel knowledge, including formulas and pivot tables.
• Fluency in English to effectively communicate with stakeholders.

Accounting Services is a vital component of the global accounting ecosystem and a key CFO function within Siemens Energy. Operating from Accounting Service Centers across the Americas, Europe, and Asia, AS provides essential accounting solutions that contribute to SE’s vision of energizing society. Our team is built on the pillars of people, processes, and technology, all of which are continuously challenged and developed. You will be operationally coordinated by the General Ledger, Closing & Reporting Team Lead and will report to the Accounting Service Center General Ledger, Closing & Reporting Function Lead, becoming part of both the local finance community and an international network of accounting experts.
