Throughout the day, you will be using various welding techniques, frequently inspecting the work to ensure it meets quality standards and accomplishing welding related tasks designated to you. Safety is a constant priority, so you will have to follow strict protocols to prevent incidents.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Fabrication and Assembly: You will be using various welding techniques (e.g., MIG, TIG, arc welding) to fabricate and assemble structures, components, and products according to blueprints and specifications.
  • Inspection and Quality Control: To ensure you are meeting quality standards and specifications, you will be identifying and repairing any defects or inconsistencies to maintain the integrity and quality requirements of the final products.
  • Maintenance and Repair: you will be supporting the Repair business by performing repair work on existing metal parts and equipment, ensuring their continued functionality and safety. This includes tasks such as fixing cracks, reinforcing weak points, and replacing worn-out parts.
  • Safety Compliance: You will adhere to safety protocols and regulations to prevent accidents and injuries. This includes wearing accurate personal protective equipment (PPE), maintaining a clean and organized work environment, and following accurate welding procedures (WPSs).

What You Bring

  • 2+ years experience in welding, specializing in TIG, MIG, and plasma techniques.
  • Blueprint Reading: Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to understand welding requirements and specifications. High school diploma required.
  • Material Knowledge: Familiarity with different types of metals and alloys, including their properties and how they react to various welding processes.
  • Safety Awareness: Strong understanding of welding safety protocols and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards.
  • Understanding emergency stop valves improves welder safety and response to emergencies.
