The Technical Support Engineer will be part of the Siemens Energy O&M Engineering Support Team, supporting our fleet of Combined Cycle plants we operate under long-term contracts on behalf of customers. The role entails preparing routine outstanding technical requests and edits to operating data; unexpectedly you might receive a call from a plant located in another state or country in the North America or Latin America regions that they need help as they’re in a forced outage! Can you help? It could be something you hadn’t worked on previously – can you come up with a strategy to move forward?

This role will be the single point of contact for 1 or more plants. This job requires you to keep track of plant operation and maintenance activities and help run the facility at its optimum availability, reliability, and performance. The position will also work with the O&M PM team and various other internal and external engineering organizations on various short-term and long-term engineering challenges on hand.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Collaborate with the various Siemens engineering groups to ensure successful resolution to design/maintenance/operational issues identified at O&M facilities.
  • Take ownership and follow issues to closure and successful resolution.
  • Review recommended product modifications and improvements for cost-effective applications at O&M facilities.
  • Use the Siemens Energy tools and systems such as T3000, PCM, etc. to resolve the technical and engineering issues in a timely manner at the plants.
  • Advocate and develop innovative ideas and solutions for your assigned plants and the fleet.
  • Lead the mobilization of new O&M contracts by preparing CMMS plant maintenance databases and developing maintenance plans and strategies using industrial (best) standard processes.

What You Bring
