A Snapshot of Your Day
Start the day by addressing previously open claims and ensure any pending actions to close said claims are taken care of. These actions include obtaining responses from internal stakeholders and external vendors who are being claimed, technical inputs from Engineering/QM, Project financials and cost evidence from CPM.
Second half of day consists of addressing new claims assigned to you by the Quality Management Team and ensuring notifications are issued to Vendors in a timely manner as well as scheduling "Claim Kick off" meetings with Internal teams to start the formal claim process.
Lastly, the challenges of the role are prioritizing meetings, claims and managing a schedule which aligns with internal and external teams.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Recovery of lost project financials due to non-conformities of vendor responsible claims.
- Create close working relationships with internal customers & external vendors to gather data related to vendor claims and successfully conclude claims.
- Follow NC and NCR tracking to capture cost related to vendor claims and kickoff process.
- Efficiently discuss claims with vendors and negotiate terms of re-payment to SGRE to maximize benefits captured via claims against vendors.
What You Bring
- Negotiation skills: Ability to discuss difficult topics with vendors to come to an agreement on payment.
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field and fluent English is required.
- Communication skills with Internal & external customers.
- Organization in terms of planning and executing your day. Prioritizing hot topic items, most relevant cases, etc.
- Technical understanding to properly negotiate and argue positions on difficult topics related to vendor claims.
- Contract Management: understanding legal terms and conditions that may apply to hold vendors responsible.
