In addition to this ability, an IT Business Partner should possess a strong understanding of IT and excellent communication skills, in addition to technical knowledge of the plant environment. A portion of your work will take place on the shop floor, and it is essential that you have a strong relationship with the plant and are well-connected within the IT department.

  • You will work with plant representatives to identify and define IT requirements and ensure they are implemented.
  • You will be responsible for all end-to-end IT and OT projects, applications, IT services, and IT infrastructure at the plant.
  • You will continuously drive the improvement and stability of IT applications and IT/OT infrastructure at the plant, as well as lead the modernization of IT/OT processes and MES to realize their digitization potential.
  • Important topics include creating a secure IT/OT network architecture and documentation (e.g., special networks (rVLAN), WAN, firewall, access point, VPN, controller, etc.) and creating and administering secure cloud connections.
  • You will work with the plant to further develop the IT architecture and implement associated IT roadmaps - in line with the Siemens Energy IT reference architecture.
  • You will be responsible for the IT budget and IT processes, as well as strategic planning and IT project management.
  • Additionally, you will implement IT security protection concepts.

What You Bring:

  • University Degree in Information Technology, or similar. Your professional experience should be in IT or a related business field.
  • 3+yrs of professional experience in an IT function, preferably in the plant environment - you feel at home in the topic of plant applications, IT/OT infrastructure, and plant-relevant IT/OT processes.
  • SAP or PLM knowledge preferred
  • A proactive, curious, persistent, and self-organized approach, as well as a willingness to take responsibility.
  • You have successfully led IT/OT projects and worked successfully according to agile methods.
  • You strongly support teamwork and have excellent persuasion and influence skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability and flexibility to work across different time zones to connect with globally distributed stakeholders (e.g., USA, Germany, India)
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
