A Snapshot of Your Day 

The Head of Tax Siemens Energy Portugal is the first point of contact for tax related matters in Portugal. You will support business units, local finance management and other support functions in every tax related aspect. You will work as an integral part of a tax team within one of the most interesting subregions in Europe on a variety of challenging topics in the field of Portuguese and international tax law. Among other things, you will have technical responsibility for tax compliance, tax reporting & tax audits, advise on international project business and transfer pricing, and support M&A and reorganizations.

How You’ll Make an Impact (responsibilities)

·       Review and/or preparation and filing of all Portuguese tax returns

·       Coordination of tax topics in Mozambique (branch)

·       Coordinate tax audits and tax administration and tax litigation processes

·       Comprehensive tax analysis of the company's local and international business projects and transactions

·       Close cooperation with the company's business units for the evaluation and mitigation of tax risks with active participation in the design and structuring of business projects and transactions

·       Tax support in the company's M&A transactions

·       Tax closing & reporting

·       Advise in transfer pricing matters and support in the preparation of related documentation

What You Bring (requirements)

·       University degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics

·       Specific academic background (or postgraduate studies) in Tax will be a plus

·       At least 10 years of professional experience in tax compliance and tax advisory roles

·       Certified accountant registered with OCC in Portugal will be a plus

·       Strong communication and interpersonal skills

·       Fluent English (written and spoken)
