A Snapshot of Your Day


As a Commercial Project Manager in the Gas Services, Distributed, Global Customer Operations (GCO) organisation, there is no such thing as a typical day. You’ll be responsible for commercial aspects of new equipment for customer contracts through the project lifecycle, order booking, manufacture, delivery, Installation-Commissioning and through warranty. Working closely with the Project Manager and liaising with many areas of the business, advising and reporting on project progress and giving early warning of potential risks to the business.


How You'll Make an Impact



· A professional that has experience in commercial aspects and project financial (controlling & reporting).

· A practitioner in one of these fields: Project Financial Controlling/Commercial Project management/Business Administration.

· Experience in project budgeting, financial management of risks/opportunities, claim management and a knowledge of contract law.

· Competent in working collaboratively and cooperatively within project teams / with international projects and intercultural teams.

· Co-leading Projects together with the Project manager, in managing and optimizing targeted financial results, with the objective of executing the project according to the defined Project management (PM) standards, customer requirements and the applicable Financial Reporting Guidelines (FRG).

· Full responsibility for all commercial/finance related matters, including but not limited to handling Accounting, commercial project data including the forecasting of revenue, profit and cash.

· Prepare commercial documentation for regular project status meetings and ensures the accuracy of the commercial project data including the forecast of revenue, profit and cash.

· Initiates invoicing according to project progress and contractual terms

· Actively manages cost and invoices to optimize project cash flow

· Ensures compliance with local GAAP requirements, FRG and Internal Controls.

· Ensures the accuracy of project books and records, incl. recording of such in appropriate systems, e.g SAP

· Ensures the application and the continuous management of Financial Guarantees, Bonds and project securities.

· Supports the PM in identifying, minimizing non-conformance costs and establishing an appropriate reporting structure, supports the implementation of lessons learned into own project and the organization in general.

· Supports the PM in identifying, evaluating, assessing and reporting of risks and opportunities.

· Ensures that timely contractual notifications are made

· Together with the PM, proactively manages contract administration and claim management for the projects under their control, both up and down stream.

· Co-leads contracts/claim/change order negotiations with stakeholders

· Manages Customer expectations together with the Project Manager


What You Bring


· Some technical knowledge of gas turbines and the industry would be advantageous.

· Ability to work in cross-functional team, using clear and effective communication with team members and stakeholders.

· Problem-Solving: Identifying issues and developing solutions quickly.

· Technical Proficiency: tools such as SAP, Excel, Alteryx, Tableau

· Ability to multi-task and work under pressure to meet deadlines; works effectively in team-oriented environment.

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills
