A Snapshot of Your Day
As a Customer & Competitor Analyst within Portfolio & Business Strategy at Siemens Energy’s Transformation of Industry (TI) business area, you will work in a dedicated team under the guidance of the Markets & Partnerships Lead and play a critical role in understanding customer needs and competitor strategies. Your day will focus on gathering intelligence, analyzing data, and delivering insights that help TI gain and maintain its competitive edge.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Gather and analyze data on customer strategies, investments, projects, performance, and emerging needs across all relevant target markets
- Coordinate the Net Promoter Score process for TI, ensuring alignment across TI and with other Business Areas and deriving relevant insights for TI strategy
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of competitors, benchmarking their strategies, technologies, investments, operational and financial performance, and other relevant public information against Siemens Energy and its business units
- Identify opportunities to differentiate Siemens Energy by leveraging unique insights into customer and competitor dynamics
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to align intelligence with go-to-market strategies, enhancing customer engagement and acquisition
- Track industry trends and new market entrants to identify potential threats and opportunities
- Produce detailed reports, dashboards, and presentations, offering actionable recommendations to leadership
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Energy Management, or a related field, with a strong emphasis on market analysis or energy systems
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in customer research, market research, financial analysis, or strategic consulting within the energy sector
- Familiarity with CRM systems, market intelligence platforms and financial reporting
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to distill complex information into clear, actionable insights
- Proficiency in advanced data analysis tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Python, or Excel) and experience developing financial models or scenarios
- Strong English skills, both verbal and written, to effectively communicate findings to global teams and senior stakeholders
- Strategic and analytical mindset, with an appetite for problem-solving and a deep interest in energy transformation and sustainability
- Proactive and collaborative mindset, with the ability to work across diverse teams and geographies as well as willingness to travel

Our Transformation of Industry division is decarbonizing the industrial sector. Increasing electrification and efficiency are key and demand for green H2 and derivative fuels will rise. We enable decarbonization of the industrial sector and the transition to sustainable processes, building on a strong industrial customer base, a global network, diverse technologies, and integrated execution capabilities.
