how you will influence

·       You will resolve and own the resolution of after-sales technical customer issues with Steam Turbines and Generators fleet in LATAM for Finspong (Sweeden) and Germany Fleet

  • You will support Sales, Project Managers & Field Service personnel with technical support before and during inspections and outages.
  • During ongoing inspections, you need to keep together the technical questions that arise within the project.
  • You will be the technical liaison in upgrading and modernization projects.
  • You will work with recommendations, possible upgrades and Service Bulletins on our fleet.
  • You ensure that machine-specific critical documentation is updated to perform inspections.
  • You with our internal customers and, among other things, define the content of our activity lists before inspections.
  • Encourage to cultivate strong working client relationships as well as internal team building.
  • Ability to analyze information and provide reports and feedback to project team members and management.
  • Strong Ability to communicate / work with international teams across different countries and cultures.

What you bring

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in engineering or Equivalent
  • 10 years’ experience performing applications, engineering or technical support.
  • Experience as Field Service with steam turbines or other rotating equipment is advantageous.
  • Strong skills with mechanical and maintenance activities of rotating equipment and interfacing with engineering departments.
  • Very good knowledge of English both written and spoken.
  • Good ability to express yourself in both speech and writing (Requirement)
  • Ability to Analize and applies advanced skills to resolve problems not covered by existing procedures and practices independently.
  • You must be able to work individually and in team/project form.
  • You work with a customer-oriented focus and see the whole of the business.
  • You work with improvement work and are driven to find new, more efficient solutions.
  • You have a great technical interest and are solution oriented.
  • Provide specialized guidance or train support and/or professional staff.
  • This position will require domestic and/or international travel up to 25% of their time.

Your responsibilities

  • Provide Regional Technical Support and act as Technical Coordinator for Steam Turbine fleet in LATAM (except Brazil)
  • Customer site visits as necessary to provide technical data/assistance/advice to customer, domestic and overseas.
  • Supporting Field Troubleshooting team of mechanical Steam Turbines /Gear Box/Generator/auxiliary systems issues
  • Designs recommendations for the customer product issues. 
  • Interface with Engineering to coordinate technical support-engineering activities for primary issue reported from clients.
  • Interface with external/internal customers
  • Support Field Service Engineers with needed documentation, engineering reviews and/or technical issues
  • Review Field Service Reports to define technical recommendations for future outages.
  • Be involved in all activities in estimating needs, planning needs and help scheduling of field service activities and resources in relation to outages on Rotating Equipment that we service. This can include Steam Turbines, Gearboxes, Auxiliary equipment and Generator equipment.
  • Interface with Engineering, Project Managers, Resource Coordinators and Customers in planning and executing outage activities.  Expected deliverables for example Outage Tooling Needs, Manpower Plans, Sub-vendor Needs, etc.
  • Review contract scope and other technical documentation to establish the required and optional work scope for a maintenance outage.
  • Attend customer meetings when warranted to discuss and present outage scope of work, schedule, including proposals reviews.
  • Customer site visits as necessary to provide technical data/assistance/advice to customer, domestic and overseas.
  • Preparation and delivery of technical presentations to management and/or customer.
  • Interact with customer process and other corporate data systems as required to resolve Customer Issues (Remote Diagnostic System, Customer Technical Support System, Sales Force others).
