A Snapshot of Your Day

We’re looking for a Student Worker who has a big interest with working with statistical modeling and forecasting. You’ll dive into hands-on work with real business data in a collaborative team that encourages curiosity and innovation. Your efforts will directly strengthen our forecasting processes, improve internal decision-making, and support Siemens Energy’s goal of driving sustainable energy solutions. In this role, you’ll spend a good part of your time coding and working in Python - cleaning, structuring, analyzing, and visualizing data, as well as developing forecasting models that make a real impact.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Take the lead in developing statistical models to support and improve our forecasting processes
  • Analyze complex datasets to identify patterns and test hypotheses
  • Design, build, and implement forecasting models — including potential applications of machine learning techniques
  • Collaborate with a sparring partner to gain insights and feedback throughout your projects
  • Work in Python to clean, structure, analyze, and visualize data, and to develop forecasting solutions. Experience with tools like Matlab, R, or Excel is a plus

What You Bring

  • You are currently pursuing a Master’s degree in economics, mathematics, statistics, or a related field
  • You have a strong curiosity about statistical modelling and are motivated by solving complex, real-world data challenges
  • Proficiency in Python is essential. Knowledge of other analytical tools is a plus
  • You are independent, proactive, and curious, with a structured approach and a strong sense of responsibility
  • You thrive in a team-oriented environment, are open to feedback, and enjoy working with others to develop and refine ideas
  • If you are interested in writing your Master’s thesis in collaboration with us, there is a great opportunity to do so within the scope of our projects

About the Team

Join a dynamic team that values innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement. We are a small and close-knit group dedicated to improving forecasting processes through data-driven solutions. With a flexible work environment, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute meaningfully while enjoying the support and camaraderie of your colleagues.
