The power industry landscape is changing, and Siemens Energy is at the heart of this transformation. As the market deploys digital systems across the electrical grid, we leverage these systems to enhance our value and serve our customers by converting data into actionable information. We are seeking a highly motivated, energetic, and well-organized individual to join our Digital Grid team in North America. As a technical sales specialist, you will work to develop your territory by calling on various markets such as utilities, renewable developers, and other industrial sectors. You will work directly with customers to sell our products and services.

This is a remote job, targeting candidates on the East Coast.


How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Develop and maintain a strong pipeline for Grid Consulting solutions, including edge-of-grid technologies and digital substations
  • Collaborate with power customers to co-create solutions involving transmission optimization and power consulting services
  • Deliver market insights and competitive intelligence to support the evolution of Digital Grid offerings
  • Manage key accounts through strategic account planning, aligning customer needs with Siemens Energy’s solutions
  • Build and sustain relationships with decision-makers to ensure satisfaction and long-term business growth
  • Provide monthly forecasts and voice-of-customer feedback to inform business decisions and product improvements


What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering
  • 3 or more years of technical sales experience in capital equipment/instrumentation. Candidates with more experience can be considered for a higher level or vice-versa
  • Hands-on expertise in substation automation protocols (DNP, IEC61850, Modbus), grid interconnection, substation design, and consulting
  • Strong understanding of energy infrastructure, IT architecture, ERP platforms, SCADA systems, and electric utility operations
  • Familiarity with asset performance management, IoT applications, and cybersecurity in utility environments
  • Proven success in meeting/exceeding targets, with proficiency in CRM tools (Salesforce) and customer management

Willing and able to travel approximately 50% of the time

Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.

This job may be based in various locations. Siemens Energy offers a variety of health and wellness benefits including paid time off and holiday pay.  Details regarding our benefits can be found here: https://benefitsatenergy.com/thinking-of-joining.html.  The base salary range for this position is $120,000-$160,000 and the annual incentive target is 10-15% of base salary. Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, skills, certifications, and other business needs. Employees typically do not start at the top of the range, though compensation depends on each individual’s qualifications.
