A Snapshot of Your Day 

This role is being created to support significant business growth within the Oil, Gas & Chemical (OG&C) subsea sector in China. The addition of this position is driven by newly secured major projects, such as the PAJ FPSO power package, and a strong pipeline of future orders, which have stretched the existing engineering team to full capacity. To meet these contractual obligations and market demands, the role will concentrate on three primary areas: on-site technical service delivery, project execution support, and comprehensive customer management. These activities are designed to ensure the successful commissioning, maintenance, and repair of power and automation systems for our OGC clients

How You'll Make an Impact 

•Proven experience in field service for subsea products/system, electrical and industrial communication system. Key requirements include strong install action, engineering, and diagnostic and troubleshooting capabilities, customer-facing communication skills, and the ability to travel frequently for on-site project work.

•Lead Product Qualification Activities at Suppliers – Product and Process Qualifications (PPQs) Manage suppliers to properly handle non-conformance issues. Assist with process improvements. 

•Lead supplier root cause investigations and corrective actions through Problem Resolution process. Investigate and resolve manufacturing capability issues within the supply chain to ensure business continuity. 

•Identify and support cost reduction opportunities through interaction with the Supply Chain/Strategic Business Audit existing and potential suppliers to determine capability of manufacturing and ensure quality systems are in place. Develop supplier capability to meet current and future requirements Interact with customer-facing businesses to investigate potential product non-conformances Product manufacturing development and improvement via regular in person presence at supplier sites 

•40% On-Site Technical Service & Commissioning

•Technical service for subsea products, such as, installation, testing, etc.

•Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical issues on power, automation, and control systems at customer sites, primarily in the OGC sector.

•Perform commissioning, installation, and startup activities for new equipment and systems as part of major projects like FPSOs.

•Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance, system upgrades, and repairs to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.

•30% Technical support for service promotion and project implementation

•Technical support for service sales

•Support project manager to solve the relevant technical issues

•10% Customer Relationship Management

•Serve as a key technical contact for OGC customers, building rapport and ensuring high levels of satisfaction.

•Coordinate with internal resources (e.g., spare parts, tools, equipment, etc.) to ensure timely execution of service orders.

•10% Service Reporting & Administration

•Create and submit detailed service reports for all field activities, documenting issues, actions taken, and resolutions.

•Maintain accurate service logs and documentation for customer equipment and service history.

•Support the service manager with daily administrative tasks related to service implementation and resource coordination.

•Provide feedback to engineering and product teams on product failures and serviceability issues.

•10% Service Competence Development

•Continuously develop own competence according to business demanding

•Training internal engineers to continuously improve local service competence

•Knowledge transfer from the factory to the local service team and localize the service tools and equipment

What You Bring:

•Certification of subsea service is preferred.

•Bachelor's degree or vocational diploma in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.

•Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in after-sales service, project execution, or commissioning within the industrial automation, power systems, or OGC market.

•Demonstrated experience with Siemens Energy subsea products is highly preferred

•Willingness and ability to undertake frequent and sometimes urgent business travel.

•Proficiency in both written and spoken English.
