This request is to backfill a Técnico Mecânico III position within the Maintenance team for the GNA power plant operations in Brazil. This replacement is critical for business continuity, ensuring sustained expert maintenance support following the previous incumbent's promotion to a leadership role. To address this need, the role focuses on two core areas: Mechanical Systems Maintenance & Repair, covering hands-on diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair of critical power plant equipment, and Technical Operations & Compliance, which includes documentation, adherence to safety protocols, and providing technical guidance. Given the focus on advanced mechanical systems, the ideal candidate will have extensive experience in power generation environments, strong troubleshooting capabilities, and a formal technical degree in Mechanics or a related field. The ability to work with limited supervision on complex, non-routine problems is essential for this senior-level position.

What You Need To Make a Difference

• 70% Mechanical Systems Maintenance and Repair
  • Execute complex preventive and corrective maintenance on rotating equipment, including gas turbines, steam turbines, generators, and large pumps.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical failures using technical manuals, diagrams, and specialized diagnostic tools.
  • Perform precision mechanical alignments, component installations, and equipment overhauls according to OEM specifications.
  • Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to plan and execute major maintenance activities and plant shutdowns.
• 30% Technical Operations and Safety Compliance
  • Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, including service reports, parts usage, and equipment condition assessments in the CMMS.
  • Strictly adhere to all site-specific safety standards, such as Lockout-Tagout (LOTO), and environmental regulations during all work activities.
  • Provide technical guidance and on-the-job training to junior technicians to enhance team capabilities and knowledge sharing.
  • Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and procedures to ensure maintenance tasks are performed accurately and efficiently.

• NR-11 (Transporte, Movimentação, Armazenagem e Manuseio de Materiais)
• NR-33 (Segurança e Saúde nos Trabalhos em Espaços Confinados)
• NR-35 (Trabalho em Altura)

Education

• Formação Técnica em Mecânica, Eletromecânica ou áreas correlatas.
• Experiência consolidada em manutenção de equipamentos mecânicos em plantas de geração de energia (termelétricas) ou indústrias de processo contínuo.
• Experiência com manutenção de turbinas a gás, turbinas a vapor, geradores e equipamentos rotativos de grande porte é um diferencial.
