A Snapshot of your Day

As a Supplier Quality Project Engineer, you’ll play a critical role in supporting the growing demand for blades and vanes by leading supplier qualification projects within the Blades & Vanes supply chain. This newly created position gives you end‑to‑end ownership of project planning and execution. You’ll develop schedules, manage risks, track progress, and ensure key milestones are met on time. Throughout the day, you’ll partner closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders—including engineering, quality, manufacturing, and sourcing—to align expectations, resolve issues, and keep projects moving forward. Your ability to combine technical insight with strong project management and clear communication will help drive efficient qualification of new components while maintaining high quality and delivery standards.

How You'll Make an Impact

  • Own the planning and execution of blade and vane supplier qualification projects by building and managing detailed schedules, resource plans, and budgets.
  • Lead projects from initiation through operational handover, ensuring all scope, quality, and timeline commitments are achieved.
  • Proactively identify and manage project risks by maintaining risk registers and implementing effective mitigation strategies.
  • Deliver clear, actionable project updates through status reports, dashboards, and documentation for key stakeholders.
  • Partner with cross‑functional teams—including PPQ leads, engineering, and procurement—to align goals, deliverables, and execution plans.
  • Serve as the central point of coordination between internal teams and external suppliers, removing obstacles and maintaining strong communication.
  • Enable PPQ leads to focus on technical issue resolution by managing project logistics, priorities, and supplier commitments.
  • Travel up to 15% to supplier sites to support project execution, supplier engagement, and qualification activities.

What You Bring

  •  Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • 5+ years of project management experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or supply chain environment.
  • Proven ability to manage complex, cross‑functional projects involving external suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong project and process management skills, including scoping, scheduling, implementation, documentation, resource allocation, and workflow improvement.
  •  Experience with risk and change management, including identifying risks, driving mitigation actions, and managing change in dynamic environments.
  • PMP certification preferred, along with strong analytical, problem‑solving, influencing, and technical knowledge of procurement and quality assurance.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
