A Snapshot of Your Day

As the Production Supervisor for Large Generator Stator Operations, you’ll lead a skilled team of core builders, stator winders, final assemblers, and GVPI operators, to manufacture and service large generator stators. You’ll begin each day by arriving an hour before shift start to complete a handoff with the outgoing supervisor, review current production status versus the schedule, and set priorities and work assignments. At the start of the shift, you’ll huddle with the team to review a safety topic in support of our Zero Harm culture, align on production status, communicate assignments, and confirm shift goals. Throughout the day, you’ll model servant leadership by removing obstacles, stepping in to support production when needed, and coaching employees. You’ll actively monitor performance and make real-time adjustments to manpower and priorities to keep work on plan, ultimately ensuring your area meets productivity targets and aligns with the production plan.

How You’ll Make an Impact

· Enforce safe work practices, ensure OSHA compliance, and lead corrective actions to maintain a safe shop floor.

· Monitor daily production, resolve issues with teams, and maintain coordination across shifts and departments.

· Manage workforce needs, including staffing distribution, training, temporary labor coordination, and overtime planning.

· Oversee employee performance, attendance, and discipline while supporting conflict resolution.

· Track production requirements, schedules, and performance metrics; make decisions aligned with operational goals and standards.

· Promote quality and efficiency through proper documentation (SAP/QCIs), cost control, and continuous improvement using Lean/5S principles.

What You Bring 

  • A bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of relevant experience, an associate’s degree with 4+ years of relevant experience, or a high school degree with 8+ years of experience in manufacturing operations.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing principles is desired.
  • Knowledge of large rotating equipment & manufacturing processes is a plus.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
