A Snapshot of Your Day

You will be representing the Mechanical Commissioning Group on worldwide project assignments. By commissioning the Siemens Energy scope on large scale projects i.e., world class and low emission Power Plants, Green Hydrogen Production Solutions, Grid Stabilizing Systems, etc. you actively participate to the energy transition. Your contribution is of utmost importance to ensure trouble-free operation of mechanical equipment supplied by Siemens Energy.

You will commission individual components or entire systems and ensure quality of our services. Your feedback of on-site experience to the engineering teams ensures that our products are subject to continuous improvement.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Conducting mechanical and process commissioning independently on power plant systems at construction sites globally.
• Ensure commissioning activities are performed within budget, time and quality targets in compliance with all EHS requirements.
• Collaboration with team members, mentorship and coordination of external partners and sub-contractors.
• Interacting with customer.

What You Bring

• Bachelors degree in the field of mechanical engineering, process engineering, preferably with a focus on power or energy engineering.
• Strong team spirit and social competence are essentially required. Ability to work in an agile, international team and together with other cultures.
• Professional and intercultural experience acquired over several years of work is beneficial, though not imperative. . If work experience is limited please provide your college courses.
• Ability to interact efficiently with customer, authorities, suppliers and internal interpersonal units, even under challenging conditions.
• Proficient in business English, additional language skills are viewed as beneficial. Willingness to work on construction sites worldwide 90% of the year.
• Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.

About the Team

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
