A Snapshot of Your Day
We are looking for a Senior Lead Accountant who excels in technical accounting, financial reporting, and digital innovation! In this role, you will be instrumental in managing financial and investment accounting processes, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and driving efficiency through automation and modern accounting tools!
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Collaborate with Project Development & Investment, Siemens Energy Ventures, and M&A teams to support Accounting and Controlling on key initiatives.
- Analyze and summarize financial and legal documents related to investments and acquisitions using digital platforms for efficient document management.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual statutory financial reports for North America, using automation to improve accuracy and reporting efficiency.
- Liaise with internal and external auditors to facilitate audits of centralized activities, ensuring well-organized, digital-first documentation.
- Contribute to annual long-range planning, reporting, and valuation of cash-generating units using tools like Alteryx and Power BI.
- Support integration of Wind Power with legacy Gas & Power operations and ensure accounting systems align with Siemens Energy’s financial reporting standards and IFRS.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Commerce, Accounting, or Business Administration (or equivalent experience).
- CPA designation (or CA, CMA, CGA) strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 6+ years of progressive accounting experience; Big 4 or public accounting background is an asset.
- Proven track record to manage several priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment, supported by excellent interpersonal skills and a proactive, self-starting approach.
- Familiarity with data analytics and visualization tools such as Alteryx, Power BI, and Tableau, with a strong sense of ownership over projects and continuous operational improvement
- Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
