This request is for a replacement Risk Management Senior Specialist, a role critical for business continuity within the Quality Management function for Gas Services in Latin America. The position is essential for ensuring all services, processes, and facilities comply with organizational and international quality standards, thereby supporting regional operational stability and customer satisfaction. To meet these objectives, this role focuses on two primary areas: the strategic implementation and management of the Quality Risk Management program and driving continuous improvement initiatives. This involves conducting comprehensive risk assessments, monitoring quality metrics, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to mitigate risks and enhance performance. Given the focus on risk management and process excellence, the ideal candidate will be a subject matter expert with extensive experience in Quality and Risk Management, preferably within the energy sector. They must possess strong analytical skills, proficiency in methodologies like FMEA and Root Cause Analysis, and the ability to effectively influence stakeholders across the organization.

- 50% Quality Risk Management Program Implementation
- Drive the implementation of the Quality Risk Management program across Latin America in alignment with global processes and best practices.
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments, including hazard identification, risk estimation, and evaluation of mitigation strategies using tools like FMEA and Ishikawa diagrams.
- Develop, implement, and monitor risk mitigation plans and corrective actions in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Lead advanced Root Cause Analysis (e.g., TapRoot, Apollo) for significant non-conformances to identify systemic issues and prevent recurrence.
- 30% Continuous Improvement and Performance Monitoring
- Monitor and analyze quality metrics and performance indicators to assess the effectiveness of risk management strategies and quality improvement initiatives.
- Utilize data to identify areas for improvement, drive the reduction of non-conformance costs, and enhance overall process efficiency.
- Review the effectiveness of implemented controls and corrective actions to ensure sustained improvement and compliance.
- Prepare and present reports on quality performance, risk status, and improvement progress to management and relevant stakeholders.
- 20% Stakeholder Collaboration and Training
- Provide expert guidance and support to operational teams on identifying and addressing quality-related risks.
- Develop and deliver training programs and workshops to enhance risk awareness and foster a proactive quality culture throughout the organization.
- Collaborate with and influence stakeholders at all organizational levels to ensure alignment and support for quality and risk management initiatives.
- Coach and review the work of lower-level professionals, delegating tasks as appropriate to build team capability.
Certifications
- Six Sigma Green or Black Belt
- ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)
- ASQ Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE)
Education
- University Degree in Engineering, Computing, Technology, or a related field; a postgraduate qualification is desirable.
- 12+ years of professional experience, with a minimum of 8 years in Risk Management and/or Quality Management, preferably within the Energy Sector.
- Professional working proficiency in English and Spanish is required; Portuguese is desirable.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 40% of the time.
