A Snapshot of your Day:

You will be part of the global Quality team for Siemens Energy Gas Services, extensively collaborating within the team as well as with global quality and operational organizations. Through your expertise, you will support Gas Services in meeting quality objectives, applying preventive measures to prevent non-conformances. Based on your specific skill set, you will focus on one or two areas such as root cause analyses, audits, data collection and analysis, process improvements, Quality Cockpit facilitations. Your daily focus will be identifying and reducing the causes for nonconformances and the associated costs.

How You’ll Make an Impact

We are looking for a quality expert to support our global Quality Management team. Our team supports Siemens Energy Gas Services in delivering top quality and meeting customer requirements as well as business targets. Your position will include extensive collaboration within the team as well as with global quality and operational organizations. This position has the freedom to recommend/implement ideas to drive the Gas Services organization to become more proactive/preventive in nature. 

 

How you'll make an impact

  • Driving reporting of NCC for whole GS following the applicable guidance
  • Become expert for NCC Reporting and drive improvements, enhancements of the processes used in various organizations including the documentation of the process
  • Collaborating with local organizations to analyze causes for nonconformances and initiate corrective and preventive actions 
  • Facilitating root-cause analyses 
  • Running quality improvement projects as project lead 
  • Performing data analytics of extensive data available on issues and underlying causes, formulating recommendations for improvement projects, and launching corrective and preventive actions where needed 
  • Performing internal audits and identify needs and proposing specific measures to increase quality, efficiency, productivity, customer satisfaction, profit and/or reduce cycle time at both the local and global level 
  • Collaborating with process owners to identify, define and document core processes 
  • Representing your team in local quality meetings and coordinating related actions and tasks 
  • Supporting reporting of quality related KPIs, including non-conformance cost 
  • Joining or leading special projects on management request

 

What You Bring

  • Prior experience and in-depth knowledge in capturing and reporting nonconformances and the associated costs 
  • Good understanding of Siemens Energy Gas Services organization; preferably prior work experience in Service or Distributed
  • Deep knowledge or understanding of organizational structure and recent organizational changes, especially as it relates to year-over-year comparisons and data trending 
  • Good working knowledge of data analysis and statistical methods 
  • Proficient in standard MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • A knowledge of data analytics applications (ETL, (e.g. Alteryx), SharePoint administration, Tableau) would be considered a plus
  • Ability to lead projects in a global, virtual team setup 
  • Self-driven, result-oriented, and detail-oriented
  • Willingness to learn and to adapt to new situations as part of a commitment to providing our Partners (internal/external) the best service and support possible 
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities 
  • Fluent English language skills 
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to globally interact with different levels of management 
  • Experience working in a multi-cultural, multi-location, and multi-disciplinary team environment 
  • Exposure and experience with LEAN concepts, quality assurance, and quality control systems 
  • Solid SAP experience as well as experience with PMTx, OnePM, CCM, would be considered a plus
  • Ability to apply Critical Thinking and a questioning attitude to processes, procedures and RCA outcomes to ensure pragmatic solutions and improvements to our products and processes

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
