A Snapshot of Your Day
As a Quality Control Inspector II, you will independently perform inspection and testing activities for Hot Gas Path (HGP) components, including combustors, blades, and vanes, ensuring compliance with Siemens Energy standards and customer requirements. Your role is crucial in detecting non-conformities, supporting root cause analysis, and ensuring that high-quality refurbished components are delivered on time.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of HGP components with a high degree of independence.
- Execute and interpret Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) methods, including VI, UT, and PT, in accordance with Level II certification requirements.
- Identify, document, and assess defects, deviations, and non-conformities during inspection processes.
- Prepare accurate and complete inspection and testing reports, supporting quality documentation.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve quality issues.
- Support root cause analysis (RCA) and contribute to the implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
What You Bring
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in quality inspection within manufacturing or repair environments.
- Certified NDT Level II (VI, UT, PT) with practical application experience.
- Strong knowledge of inspection methods, quality control principles, and technical specifications.
- High proficiency in inspection tools, metrology equipment, and test interpretation.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work in a cross-functional environment.
About the Team
Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
