A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Quality Coach for tanks, you will ensure that every critical points of tank manufacturing meets the highest quality standards. You will carry out inspections, supervise tests, and collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to guarantee reliable and safe tanks that comply with international codes and client requirements.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Conduct dimensional, visual, and welding inspections on tanks to ensure compliance with design and quality requirements. Monitor and report the progress of inspections and testing throughout the tank fabrication process.
• Perform and validate non-destructive tests (NDT) and pressure/adhesion tests as required by project specifications.
• Support suppliers in implementing corrective actions and improvements during tank manufacturing.
• Ensure proper documentation, traceability, and compliance with industry standards such as ASME and AWS.
• Ensure the correct reporting of the issues and collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to resolve technical issues effectively.
• Train the internal and external inspectors with our requirements and ensure the correct execution of the audits and inspections.  

What You Bring

• Technical background in tank fabrication, welding, or mechanical engineering.
• Knowledge of inspection standards and certifications such as AWS, ASME, and ISO 9001.
• Hands-on experience with Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) methods including ultrasonic, radiographic, liquid penetrant, and magnetic particle testing.
• Strong communication skills for effective interaction with suppliers, customers, and internal teams.
• Ability to work on-site at manufacturing plants with a proactive, detail-oriented, and quality- and safety-focused mindset.
• Willingness to travel up to 80% of the time, with an intermediate level of English desirable.

About the Team

The Quality Coach for tanks will report directly to SQM Tanks the Guanajuato SE GT PR TAM GJT Factory. The main objective of the area is to ensure the implementation and execution of our Zero Failures Culture. We work with a program that focuses on achieving the support and development of quality culture for our process approach.
