Siemens Energy Inc. – Grid Automation Americas is searching for a Advance Proposal Specialist to work with a passion for a customer engagement and satisfaction.
This is an outstanding opportunity to join a strong team selling the best Grid Automation solutions in the market. Advance Proposal Specialist will support proposals activity for Grid Automation Solutions in a global environment and report directly to Director Tender Management. The role will require close coordination and teamwork with Business Development / Sales / Engineering / Procurement resources during the acquisition phase of assigned projects
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Develop proposals for EPCs and end customers within the domain of control and protection systems for HV/MV substation by conducting through analysis and review customer specification encompassing software and hardware for substation protection, SCADA, and automation systems.
- Ensure high-quality and timely preparation of proposals in alignment with customer requirements while maintaining close coordination with technical experts
- Independently develop proposals, including selection of IEDs, BOMs, and control system hardware.
- Create, edit, and compose original proposal responses and other sales-related documents.
- Acquire and sustain comprehensive knowledge of assigned industry structure, applications, terminology, trends, and issues.
- Prepare bid calculations and risk assessments, presenting them to management for approval in compliance with business unit approval processes during bid preparation
What You Bring
- Hold a university degree in Electrical Engineering, Control and Automation Technology,
- Possess 5-8 years of experience with substation control and protection systems in Energy Transmission and Distribution.
- Have a solid understanding of the Power Distribution/Transmission market and technologies, particularly in Substation Protection and Control, Automation, and SCADA/RTU.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of an intercultural team.
- Exhibit strong analytical thinking, a result-oriented mindset, and a customer-focused approach.
- Proficient in English and Spanish
