A Snapshot of Your Day

Responsible for the technical and commercial aspects of bids for high-voltage equipment and related services, with a particular focus on Switchgear (GIS/AIS). This role will involve close collaboration with local sales to develop and present competitive proposals to utilities or industrial customers.

How You Will Make an Impact

  • Prepare technically bids for the HV products portfolio including Transformers, Air & Gas Insulated Switchgear and Surge Arrestors.
  • Work with the regional sales team to understand the competitive landscape, customer requirements and market conditions and prepare bids accordingly.
  • Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with customers’ representatives and internal stakeholders at all levels whilst remaining focused on customer satisfaction.
  • Establish and sustain strong working relationships with Siemens Energy factories, external suppliers, subcontractors, consortium partners.
  • Work closely with our legal and commercial colleagues to ensure contractual risks are fully evaluated and mitigated at the proposal stage.
  • Take an innovative and forward-thinking approach to managing work via proactive use of technology including CRM tools like Salesforce.

What you Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience within the energy sector (High voltage Product Industry desirable) and familiarity with transmission systems and associated product applications.
  • Ability to take responsibility and ownership of bids: work efficiently and independently with support from management when needed.
  • Outstanding communication abilities combined with a proactive approach.
  • Basic understanding of business profit & loss, budgetary planning, approval processes and use of appropriate tools for such activities.
  • Proven experience in High or Medium voltage product technical sales/ tendering is desirable
  • Business proficient communication in English.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
