A Snapshot of Your Day

We are seeking a Project Manager to be responsible for executing major projects in the Transformers US business area to include transportation & logistics, customer interface, scheduling, communication, and coordination of transformer equipment installations. This position will interface with global transformer factory project management teams, business development, marketing, logistics, installation advisors, proposal specialists, and contract administrators to ensure safe and compliant installations of transformers for the Siemens Energy US customer base.


How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Managing all project management activities, including developing overall project schedules and plans, creating communication plans, overseeing contract management, monitoring project financial performance and budgets, identifying and mitigating risks, maintaining the project risk register, and driving the implementation of lessons learned.
  • Serving as the primary customer interface by ensuring on‑schedule project delivery, controlling job costs to meet or beat budget, achieving high customer satisfaction, and managing change orders to maximize project profitability; executing projects from order handover through warranty transition while building strong customer relationships.
  • Overseeing the execution phase of projects from receipt of order through the end of warranty, coordinating with Siemens factories for warranty support, and directing local field resources and onsite activities.
  • Communicating contract and schedule requirements to Siemens Energy factory personnel, installation supervisors, and subcontractors, while reviewing sub‑supplier documentation to ensure compliance with project specifications, performance expectations, cost targets, and schedule commitments.


What You Bring 

  • BS degree or higher in a related discipline
  • 3 or more years of relevant experience. Candidates with more experience can be considered for a higher level or vice-versa
  • Experience in project planning, scheduling, communication, execution, coordination, administration, and documentation, with a strong commitment to customer satisfaction and project cost control
  • Clear understanding of the sold product, including the ability to review, interpret, and ensure compliance with contract documents such as commercial and technical specifications, scope, schedule, and performance requirements
  • IPMA or equivalent project management certification considered a plus; eventual certification required
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to respond to multiple inquiries in a timely and professional manner, and the ability to work effectively in teams interacting with finance, marketing, and field service operations to achieve shared goals

Travel, as needed (~10%)

Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
