A Snapshot of Your Day
We have an exciting new opportunity which represents a new growth period for Siemens Energy STG UK &IE and have an excellent opportunity to be part of our Service Projects team. During your 3-month internship at the STG Organisation, you will have the opportunity to experience and contribute to the Service Projects unit and have experience working with several key areas: Commercials, Planning and Delivery. How You’ll Make an Impact
Below is an outline of what you can expect from your daily involvement in the team: Service Projects:
- Join the Projects Team and contribute to the critical task of project delivery.
- Keep an eye on active orders to identify and address any potential issues or hold - ups.
- Sit in on planning meetings to fully understand the complexities of project planning .
- Assist with the accurate entry of new orders into the management system.
- Watch and learn from team interactions with the finance department to confirm the terms and conditions of order payments.
- Shadow experienced team members during active maintenance projects.
- In the role, you will acquire practical experience and deepen your understanding of the various aspects of the project cycle within the STG Projects team.
- While your responsibilities will be diverse, the overarching aim is to equip you with a holistic view of how each team's efforts drive the organisation's success.
- Organize, prioritize and manage multiple tasks and concurrent projects/orders.
- Assist the efforts of the PM to execute STG project s ranging from parts deliveries to Generator and Turbine overhauls.
- Assist the PM with management of local subcontractors and overseas factories from Order through delivery up to handover in accordance with the client schedule and quality requirements and always ensuring strict adherence to client & Siemens Energy EHS requirements.
- Assist the PM on working with finance/ commercial team on a regular basis to ensure accurate reporting of financial/ commercial metrics.
- Assist the efforts of the PM in ensuring all potential opportunities, variations and risks are identified and reported to the Business as soon as possible.
- Use and make available to others knowledge assets to optimise the proposed solution and project costs.
- Assist the Head of Projects in defining and creating department processes to streamline operations.
What You Bring

- Pursuing Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Business Management, Future Technologies, Environmental Studies
- Effective problem solving and openness to new ideas.

- Shows positive attitude to learn and take on challenges.
- Self - starter that works well in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to communicate in clear, concise and professional manner at all times, both written and verbally
