A Snapshot of Your Day
Join our dynamic team as a Production Supervisor, where you will manage the Compressor Component Manufacturing and Rotor Manufacturing areas within Siemens Energy’s Gas Turbine products division. Imagine leading a dedicated production team, utilizing operational measurements to drive daily business success. You will oversee the production process, ensuring that products are manufactured safely, efficiently, and with the highest quality standards. With a commitment to continuous improvement through Six Sigma, 5S, and Lean Manufacturing, you will motivate a diverse group of employees to work collaboratively towards common goals.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Ensure all manufacturing personnel adhere to safe work practices, addressing deficiencies and violations promptly to maintain OSHA compliance.
  • Analyze daily operating results, collaborating with supervisors to resolve production issues and ensure seamless interdepartmental cooperation.
  • Distribute staff effectively and assist in training new or transferred employees while coordinating temporary staffing needs.
  • Authorize and evaluate overtime requirements for production employees, ensuring optimal resource allocation.
  • Mediate personnel issues and conduct disciplinary actions as necessary to maintain a positive work environment.
  • Monitor customer production requirements and adjust schedules accordingly to meet demands.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of employee attendance records and evaluate production metrics to drive performance improvements.
  • Review performance against operational plans and standards, promoting continuous improvement and lean activities.
  • Utilize your production management skills to provide effective leadership and make timely decisions impacting customer delivery.

What You Bring

  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, particularly in welding fabrication and machining; experience in scheduling, line supervision, or production control is a plus.
  • A Bachelor’s Degree (BS/BA) or an Associate’s Degree is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Availability for Weekend Shift.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and/or 5S methodologies.
  • Working knowledge of MRP and Quality Control systems.
  • Experience in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software with excellent computer skills.
  • Preferred experience in conflict resolution with an hourly workforce.
