How to contribute to our vision
This Product Manager role is being created for business continuity, specifically to support the increased volume of new and service applications for the SGT6-5000F and other gas turbine models. Based in the SGT6-5000F Product Management team, this position will be critical in managing the growing demand and complexity within the collaboration field. To address this need, the role will focus on three core areas: Product Application & Lifecycle Management, to oversee the entire process for new and existing service applications; Cross-Functional Project Coordination, to ensure seamless collaboration between engineering, sales, and service teams; and Technical Product & Market Intelligence, to maintain a deep understanding of the product's technical specifications and market position. Given the focus on managing technical product applications and leading complex projects, the ideal candidate will possess significant experience in product or project management within an industrial or energy sector. A strong foundation in project management methodologies, coupled with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and analyze technical market data, will be essential for success.
What You Need To Make a Difference
- 40% Product Application & Lifecycle Management
- Manage the product lifecycle for the 5000F, 6000G, 3000E, and 900 gas turbine series, with a focus on new customer applications and service-related projects.
- Define project scope, objectives, and requirements for new applications and service upgrades in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
- Track and report on key performance indicators for assigned product applications, including market adoption, customer satisfaction, and profitability.
- Develop and maintain the product roadmap for service applications, identifying opportunities for enhancements and new offerings based on market needs.
- 40% Cross-Functional Project Coordination
- Lead and coordinate cross-functional project teams including engineering, sales, supply chain, and service to ensure the timely delivery of product applications.
- Develop, maintain, and monitor detailed project schedules, resource plans, and budgets, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
- Act as the central point of communication for all project stakeholders, providing regular status updates and facilitating decision-making.
- Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, issues, and dependencies to avoid delays and budget overruns.
- 20% Technical Product & Market Intelligence
- Maintain expert-level knowledge of the technical specifications, capabilities, and competitive landscape of the SGT6-5000F and related turbine platforms.
- Analyze market trends, customer feedback, and competitor activities to inform product strategy and identify opportunities for innovation.
- Provide technical and commercial support to sales and field service teams during the proposal and implementation phases of customer projects.
Certifications
- Project Management Professional (PMP)
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial), Business Administration, or a related technical field.
- 5-8 years of experience in product management, project management, or a related technical role within the power generation, energy, or heavy industrial equipment industry.
- Proven experience managing complex technical products or projects from conception to completion with limited supervision.
